The Sacrament of BaptismBaptism is one of two sacraments practiced by Presbyterians (Communion is the other one). In Baptism, God claims us to show that we belong to God. God frees us from sin and death, uniting us with Jesus Christ in his death and resurrection. By water and the Holy Spirit, we are made members of the church, the body of Christ, and joined to Christ's ministry of love, peace, and justice.
We celebrate all children and include them as a vital part of our church family. Each time a child is baptized, the members of the congregation make a shared promise to provide nurturing opportunities for worship, study, and fellowship for our children, and to assist parents in their role as the primary nurturers in their children’s faith development.
